For Those With Ears and Eyes!!!!!

It startles me how you can be out for a while and when you come back the house is in total shambles. The last time I was oozing with brilliance I couldn't help but notice that the endeavors in this great country have taken a stride over me , from voter registration, detestable perks by Mpigs, court ruling on one third representation (I won’t say I told you) yeah you right I told you and it feels nice to be right, political marriages and divorces exposing us to the ferocity of jilted partners and many more. Not to worry because we live in a state where we are treated to constant theatrics all we have to do is sit and watch.

The current political circus gracing our screens with a tinge of creativity outsmarting deception and vice versa is actually nothing to be desired at this age and time. This nevertheless has not deterred us the electorate from falling victim to this political intrigues and we sure will get dizzy when we can no longer keep up the political debacles if we continue being taken for a ride by undecided leaders. It’s jubilation to see scared political demagogues rush to make deals before lapse of time showing how receptive they have become to the rule of law or
simply because all trees have become slippery so they have to make use of the bare ground. It’s gaudy in our minds that the spirit of the constitution has become vivid   to them and any attempts to promote impunity have been and will be suppressed without the slightest hesitation.

From a quick reading of Sun Zu's art of war we are told that deception is an indelible art of war and nobody should cry foul if the same is applied to them because everyone owes it to themselves to ensure not to strike a deal with a person who is demon ‘possessed’ and if possible stay off the path whenever you see Satan on the periphery however that’s not my main focus today. The electorate should be looking at straight leaders with set principles not those who are easily swayed by forces unknown even to them neither should we be looking for those looking for marriages of convenience so that the electorate has only one option of the bad and the worse. Lets jump of the misleading bandwagon and focus on the correct leaders it’s better to elect a good leader who represents what you believe in the outcome of the election nonetheless.

I am one person that believes in looking at the three sides of a coin and I don’t mince my words on that (at least I think I do) in the just concluded voter registration exercise I was very categorical in encouraging all readers to register as voters and even others went ahead to offer tokens and also impose sanctions on any unregistered  voters but being Kenyans we did not heed to that call, I find this disturbing if not infuriating that a person of high moral standing would neglect or otherwise be oblivious of the fact that the remaining days cannot allow for the extension of the deadline yet with our numbskulls we sat and waited for an extension which was never forthcoming, I find no other way to describe such nincompoopism it seems we are so used to the blood donation technique in that we need to be coaxed with a bottle of soda at the end of the exercise . Those that have registered are applauded for being true patriots but then there comes the next challenge of voting are we brave enough to elect the right leaders or we shall be fooled by the political ping pongs.

Many have said that the journey to statehouse is a two horse race and several donkeys following but overtime we have seen the donkeys and horses merging to form alliances. From form one biology we learn that the fusion between a donkey and a horse is a mule which is generally impotent meaning we are slowly forming a generation of mules in our political scenario and cheering them on as the go ahead to benefit us with nothing. People incapable of pursuing any developmental issues are blinding us with their puerile small talk while we cheer them on to mess up the little strides that we have made over time. As an informed state we need not flow with the wrong course but better still let us try and remain sober in this crucial time, it has only taken us this five years to experience high cost of living that will escalate irretrievably if we elect dimwits to power.

We have this opportunity to determine the destiny of our beloved motherland, as we usher in a new government under the new constitution we owe it to ourselves to elect people who have our interests at heart so far we have those spending so much than they stand to gain when they come to power, this leaves us with questions about their real intentions for seeking power, the future is in our hands the past notwithstanding, the first step towards our dream country is all that matters the question is will you decide the fate of this country wisely or shall we prepare ourselves for hard days ahead I am really hoping for the former. Let us not be drawn in to their political hoodwinking and cowardice let as judge them for whom we see them for, we shall not stand and stare as they screw us all again for the next five years. ponder on that oooh statesmen!!!
